Arrive at Bandarnayake International Airport and transfer to Negombo. One of our agents will be there to welcome you. Spend the day relaxing at the beach or hotel pool. Families may enjoy an optional evening beach walk and sunset ice-cream stop, offering a light and cheerful start to the journey.
Travel to Pinnawala to visit the elephant orphanage, where children can observe elephants during feeding and bathing times. Continue to Kandy a relaxed evening stroll around Kandy Lake, sampling local street snacks and enjoying city views.
Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in the morning and explore the royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya with open lawns, giant Bamboo groves and photo stops. Let your kids enjoy an optional kid-friendly craft or cooking workshop while both of you enjoy an optional couples spa treatment.
Drive to Sigiriya and pick things to do based on what your family likes. Families with older kids can climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, while families with younger kids can hike through the hamlet, ride in a bullock cart, or go canoeing. Finish the day with cultural games or stories with your family.
Transfer to Dambulla Cave Temple, which is known for its old murals and statues. Stop at a spice garden in Matale where kids can smell and touch spices. This makes learning interesting and participatory.
Tranfer to the southern shore and spend the whole day at the beach. You can swim, create sandcastles, snorkel (for beginners,) or do water sports with an adult. Families can also visit a turtle hatchery to learn about protecting the ocean.
Take a ride to Colombo Airport to leave. Families can choose to stop at Galle Fort for a short-walk through history or to buy souvenirs before the transfer to Colombo Airport for departure. Families may optionally stop at Galle Fort for a short heritage walk or souvenir shopping before concluding the journey.
